This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.
• Support underperforming locations in their recruiting and hiring efforts.
• Aid in the management of branch locations where local management roles are unfilled.
• Conduct a thorough analysis of branch locations to pinpoint and address the root causes of performance challenges.
• Engage with local customer representatives to tackle performance-related concerns.
• Address trip coverage challenges.
• Upfit newly acquired vehicles with exterior safety and company identification decals, and install necessary safety equipment including cargo nets and fire extinguishers.
• Install technology hardware in PTI vehicles, which includes railroad radios, Lytx Drive Cam, and GPS devices.
• Collaborate with local PTI managers to coordinate and oversee vehicle maintenance programs, utilizing approved vendors and/or conducting minor repairs.
• Identify potential new automotive repair vendors and suppliers.
• Work with existing vendors to manage vehicle maintenance effectively.
• Conduct vehicle inspections in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Partner with the Director of Operations and Regional Vice President to oversee all aspects of the region’s fleet.
• Carry out installation, calibration, and maintenance of GPS equipment, Drive Cam, and railroad radios as necessary.
• Build and maintain relationships with each railroad customer.
• Inform Corporate management of any changing railroad conditions that may affect branch demand.
• Foster positive customer relationships by meeting weekly with local railroad officials to discuss operations, service satisfaction levels, and any other relevant issues.
• Collaborate with railroad officials to report any Yard Safety concerns.
• Attend railroad safety meetings whenever feasible.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with all PTI software such as DriveCam, Trimble, and Crew.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license issued by the state of proposed employment.
• Have at least 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the branch location.
• Must be able to read, write, and converse in English.
• Must be capable of using a GPS/Technology System and understanding roadmaps.
• Required to maintain a cell phone and keep PTI informed of the current phone number.
• Ability to lift and pull up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to climb in and out of the vehicle.
• Must be able to bend to inspect the undercarriage of a vehicle and tires.
• Must be able to manually open and close all doors and hatches on the vehicle.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving, as required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
