This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Implement and execute policies, procedures, and standards aimed at enhancing safety within the transportation network.

• Collaborate and communicate with site and regional fleet leadership as well as the EHS team.

• Offer regional fleet safety assistance to standardize and synchronize fleet safety, driver engagement, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to compliance programs with OSHA, NFPA, and DOT FMCSA, including driver qualification, driver training, safety engagement, collision reduction, and continuous improvement strategies.

• Execute large-scale, intricate programs.

• Simplify, streamline, and automate business functions to eliminate waste.

• Evaluate the quality of incident investigations, root causes, and corrective actions.

• Provide weekly and monthly leadership reports on fleet safety enhancements, project status, and progress toward strategic objectives.

• Develop and implement comprehensive layered process audits.

• Monitor CSA scores and fleet performance, devising improvement strategies.

• Transition swiftly between tactical, strategic, and technical levels.

• Identify use cases for technology and automation in risk reduction campaigns.

• Utilize project management and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or a similar industry-recognized certification is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 regulations.

• Comprehensive understanding of DOT 49 CFR FMCSA regulations.

• Experience with fleet telematics technology and analytics.

• Proven project management experience, including project sourcing, planning, and execution.

• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization techniques.

• Ability to analyze, define, diagnose, and resolve issues using sound logic and rationale.

• Capability to build partnerships with operations leaders and influence without direct authority.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Transportation Management, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of safety management or leadership experience within the transportation sector.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

• Understanding of data analytics and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
