This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Morocco.
• Drive Zepz’s growth, commercial enhancement, and strategic presence throughout the MENA financial sector.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new market entry strategies within MENA, with an emphasis on GCC sending corridors and North African receiving markets.
• Oversee the complete launch process of new corridors and digital payment pathways while managing operational and compliance risks.
• Initiate, negotiate, and finalize high-value partnerships with Tier-1 banks, payment aggregators, mobile money operators, and regional exchange entities.
• Create tailored deal structures to optimize liquidity, treasury flows, and FX wholesale pricing.
• Review and enhance commercial agreements to boost margins, lower payout costs, and increase transaction volumes.
• Collaborate with Treasury and FX Wholesale teams on competitive FX rates, regional currency pegs, and the dynamics of fluctuating or restricted currencies.
• Represent Zepz in interactions with central banks, financial regulatory bodies, and financial intelligence units.
• Cultivate relationships with C-suite executives at banks, digital wallets, and exchange networks.
• Prepare data-driven business cases addressing ROI, capital requirements, competition, and risks for executive approval.
• Monitor corridor performance, transaction trends, and competitive pricing to proactively refine strategies.
• Leverage AI to enhance analysis, insight generation, process design, communication, and productivity.
• A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in Business Development or Partnerships.
• Strong focus on the Remittance, Cross-Border Payments, or FX Wholesale sectors within the MENA region.
• Proven experience operating within the GCC and North African monetary areas.
• In-depth knowledge of regional regulatory, liquidity, and compliance complexities.
• Capability to work autonomously across a broad, fragmented geographical landscape.
• Strategic and commercial insight, including comprehension of treasury, float, clearing, and multi-currency settlement processes.
• Exceptional skills in writing business cases.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify corridor challenges, assess partner performance, and forecast growth.
• Demonstrated success in navigating complex, multi-party commercial negotiations with financial institutions.
• A genuine interest in AI and its applications in the workplace.
• Practical experience with AI tools.
• High level of AI literacy, including effective prompting and critical assessment of AI outputs.
• Awareness of ethical and responsible AI practices, particularly regarding sensitive data, customer experience, and compliance.
• Experience with Claude is a plus, but not essential.
