This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Deploy throughout the network to identify gaps, implement corrective measures, restore performance to meet KPI targets, and establish clear improvement plans.
• Assess site conditions, execution of maintenance tasks, and the capabilities of team members.
• Set, teach, and uphold standards for maintenance execution.
• Perform Health Check audits and Quality Assurance evaluations.
• Offer Fulfillment Center General Managers insights into maintenance activities.
• Guide and mentor Senior Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Managers, Area Maintenance Managers, and site teams.
• Recognize leadership deficiencies and create tailored development plans.
• Instruct on budgeting, workforce management, KPI analysis, and escalation procedures.
• Develop talent pipelines within various sites.
• Standardize maintenance practices, enhance reliability, document processes, and train teams accordingly.
• Create and execute reliability strategies to boost facility uptime.
• Provide specialized knowledge in Material Handling Equipment, Industrial Automation, and Robotics systems.
• Examine operational data and metrics, identify root causes, and promote continuous improvement.
• Counsel senior leadership on equipment end-of-life considerations using ROI and analytical methods.
• Cultivate and strengthen a proactive safety culture while ensuring 100% compliance with safety training.
• Oversee, audit, and enforce safe working practices and facilitate training drills.
• Build rapport with client-side and on-account safety program managers.
• Foster relationships with site Operations leaders, Regional Operations Managers, and Program Managers.
• Collaborate with JLL leaders and Finance on the stewardship of client funds.
• Meet or surpass KPI performance targets and report results in weekly business reviews and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to labor and PRM budgets, overtime regulations, purchase-order creation, and invoice reconciliation processes.
• Network with other Regional Maintenance Managers to guarantee uniform program deployment and execution.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Over 6 years of experience managing personnel and performance, including oversight of salaried leaders.
• Previous regional or multi-site maintenance leadership experience overseeing 80+ employees.
• Demonstrated success in leading change, fostering team development, and enhancing performance across multiple locations.
• Functional knowledge of Material Handling Equipment systems, maintenance best practices, and 24/7 logistics settings.
• Willingness to travel 70–80% and respond on short notice to sites across North America.
• Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and influencing others.
• Experience with reliability-centered maintenance and preventive/predictive maintenance strategies.
• Proficient in data analysis and converting metrics into actionable coaching and site-level decisions.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, standardized work, and cost/benefit analysis.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and CMMS platforms.
• An MBA, Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus.
• Professional engineering registration is an advantage.
• Capability to frequently bend, crouch, kneel, reach, stand, and walk.
• Ability to lift parts and tools weighing an average of 20 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 49 lbs.
• Willingness to work in confined spaces and environments with dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, and uneven or wet surfaces.
