Regional Learning Manager, Learning Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute learning strategies that align with business goals across Dispense & Fulfillment, Compounding, and Diagnostics operations, while reporting progress to the Director of Learning.

• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of learning professionals, promoting a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and accountability.

• Ensure all training programs adhere to relevant regulatory standards, including FDA, state boards of pharmacy, and applicable USP guidelines — collaborating with Quality, Regulatory Compliance, and Pharmacy Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate compliance needs into effective training solutions.

• Collaborate with senior leadership, Quality, Regulatory Compliance, and Operations to identify skill gaps and design targeted learning interventions.

• Manage the design and execution of blended learning programs that enhance operational performance, compliance, and safety outcomes.

• Spearhead continuous improvement efforts, including learning kaizens, the development and launch of new programs, and Learning Management System (LMS) projects that improve training quality and consistency across the organization.

• Assist in the creation and delivery of leadership and professional development programs that build skills and nurture talent.

• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess learning effectiveness and business impact, providing reports on outcomes to senior leadership.

• Oversee learning budgets and resource allocation to maximize impact and showcase return on investment (ROI).

• Travel to various sites as needed to support network priorities, program launches, and continuous improvement projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• An active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is required.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in learning and development, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position managing teams across multiple locations.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing learning strategies that yield measurable business results in regulated environments.

• Proven track record in leading learning initiatives within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or distribution/fulfillment operations.

• Comprehensive understanding of FDA regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements, and USP standards as they pertain to training and competency assessments.

• Strong business acumen with the capability to align learning initiatives with operational priorities and demonstrate ROI.

• Proven change management, stakeholder management, and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence individuals at all organizational levels.

• Preferred: Experience in 503a or 503b compounding pharmacy environments, including sterile compounding and aseptic technique training.

• Familiarity with USP standards and associated training requirements.

• Experience leading learning initiatives during times of rapid growth, new facility launches, or organizational changes.

• Proficiency with enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) platforms.

• Background in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

• Proficiency with program and project management tools such as Asana, Google Suite, or similar platforms for managing complex, multi-workstream initiatives.

• Experience in designing and delivering leadership development programs.
