
Regional Human Resources Director – Central America

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more countries.
• Collaborate with the Regional Vice President and senior leadership in the country to devise strategies for staffing, recruitment, and retention.
• Plan, develop, coordinate, and execute HR policies, processes, training programs, initiatives, and surveys.
• Oversee or manage aspects of compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary actions, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training programs.
• Identify needs in staffing and recruitment and establish practices for hiring and talent management.
• Conduct research and analyze organizational trends utilizing HRIS or talent management reports and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations at both country and regional levels, recommending best practices as necessary.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law, communicating any policy and practice updates to upper management.
• Facilitate professional development, training, and certification initiatives.
• Assist country directors and the Regional Vice President in resolving staff motivation and performance challenges.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

• In-depth understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with various human resource information systems and experience using them.

• Proficiency in Google Suite or similar software.
• Competency with or the ability to swiftly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• At least eight years of experience in human resource management is required.
• Knowledge of regional employment law and regulations.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in non-profit environments and/or with international staff or vendors is preferred.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
• Full-time remote work available within eligible Central American countries.
