Regional Flight Operations Support Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Directly oversee, mentor, and cultivate a team of Flight Operations Support Coordinators; establish expectations, provide coaching, and deliver constructive feedback.

• Act as the main regional point of contact for Vendor leadership, ensuring contract compliance and enhancing the deployment of Ground Support and Visual Observer teams.

• Manage the regional utilization of workforce management systems like Deputy and ServiceNow, alongside Google Workspace, guaranteeing data accuracy and uniform scheduling practices.

• Authorize team timesheets, expense claims, and regional travel; streamline budgetary concerns and resolve issues in collaboration with peer managers.

• Anticipate regional staffing requirements based on expected flight volumes and adjust vendor workforce and recruitment strategies accordingly.

• Spearhead the development and upkeep of SOPs concerning site logistics and crew preparedness, ensuring compliance with Wing Standards and health and safety regulations.

• Facilitate connections between the team and partners from Maintenance, Training, and Community Affairs; represent Wing during regional outreach to public and government visitors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation operations, logistics, or workforce management, including demonstrated success as a people manager leading remote teams.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Capability to prioritize, coach, and oversee direct-report performance in high-stress environments.

• Proficient in independently managing project planning and addressing moderately complex issues with significant ambiguity.

• Willingness to work 5 days a week, including weekends and/or holidays as dictated by business demands.

• At least 2 years of direct experience in Commercial Drone operations (Part 107/135).

• An active 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is mandatory.

• Capacity to perform moderate physical work outdoors for extended durations and lift and transport equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.

• Proficiency in managing external vendor relationships and influencing internal stakeholders through clear, data-driven communication.
