Regional Field Director, Therapy Access

📋 Description

• Lead a regional team of top-tier Therapy Access Managers to provide support for UT PAH and ILD products.

• Define the vision and strategy that facilitates the successful attainment of objectives in alignment with the Patient Relations Team.

• Analyze overall HCP engagement trends within the designated region to manage request volumes, enhance response efficiency, and share market insights derived from HCP inquiries.

• Coordinate and provide cross-coverage for HCP support requests throughout the region as needed to accommodate TAM absences, resolve complex cases, and address any emerging support gaps.

• Develop and communicate a comprehensive set of engagement protocols for interacting with HCP customers and internal UT stakeholders in a compliant and appropriate manner.

• Advocate for patients', customers', and stakeholders' concerns, priorities, and needs with internal teams, and devise innovative and compliant plans to effectively address those needs in their regions.

• Promote a culture of accountability and compliance through regular discussions with field leaders and internal partners to identify scalable business practices and troubleshoot potential access barriers to UT products.

• Collaborate with the Patient Relations Team to assist in resolving program escalations as necessary, ensuring positive customer experiences.

• Engage with sales leadership to analyze regional trends, challenges, and concerns.

• Anticipate effects on patient access for UT products to enable compliant proactive education that meets market demands.

• Establish measurable performance metrics and track progress against those metrics.

• Create and monitor staffing forecasts and geographic distribution based on expected activity levels.

• Conduct field ride-alongs to verify that the team is engaging with customers in an appropriate and compliant manner.

• Provide regular, constructive performance feedback to all direct reports and cultivate a supportive, team-oriented work environment.

• Proactively support the growth and development of team members based on their individual needs, motivations, and business requirements through ongoing coaching, mentoring, and opportunities for advancement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, preferably in sciences, business, pharmacy, or healthcare, with over 12 years of pharmaceutical, healthcare, and/or broad industry experience focusing on reimbursement, contract strategy (if applicable), managed care, sales/marketing, or a related area.

• Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in sciences, business, pharmacy, or healthcare, with over 10 years of pharmaceutical, healthcare, and/or broad industry experience focusing on reimbursement, contract strategy (if applicable), managed care, sales/marketing, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in claims reimbursement, including coverage, coding, billing, and payment; experience with medical policy, managed care coverage processes and practices; extensive knowledge and experience with both public and private payers; collaboration with healthcare practitioners and ancillary staff in a reimbursement capacity; understanding of HUB services, including financial affordability programs, coordination and communication among support coordinators and TAMs, and providing field input for process enhancements.

• Extensive knowledge of market access and healthcare policy.

• Proven success in executing launch strategies and plans.

• Experience in reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, billing and coding, and payer dynamics.

• Ability to navigate the ambiguous and evolving landscape of US healthcare.

• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate teams.

• Capability to enhance team effectiveness by sharing knowledge, experience, and information.

• Ability to foster a culture of continuous learning where team members feel engaged and challenged.

• Experience working cross-functionally.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.
