This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security policies, procedures, and programs across designated regions.
• Foster ongoing improvements in safety, environmental, and chemical security compliance and performance.
• Lead cross-functional EHS teams throughout the region, conveying performance and improvement goals to EHS, Supply Chain, and Commercial leadership.
• Offer guidance to Commercial, Supply Chain, Technology, and Office Teams concerning EHS&S regulatory requirements, internal policies, procedures, and programs.
• Deliver essential EHS support to the Commercial organization, addressing customer requests, approval systems, and ensuring safe operations at customer sites.
• Implement and monitor leading and lagging EHS&S metrics to identify and mitigate risks.
• Establish and enhance safe work practices, procedures, and EHS&S risk controls.
• Persuade Supply Chain and Commercial leadership to engage in safety enhancements and fulfill EHS-focused goals and objectives.
• Lead and mentor regional field safety coordinators, plant safety professionals, managers, direct reports, and global indirect team members.
• Support corporate governance of EHS&S, with a particular focus on the PSM program.
• Oversee and maintain ISO 45001 and Responsible Care programs regionally.
• Assist in Solenis M&A and integration activities concerning EHS&S requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor risks, opportunities, and resolution plans.
• A relevant BS or advanced degree in safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field is required.
• Over 10 years of EHS&S experience with escalating management responsibilities in chemical and multi-site settings.
• Strong practical knowledge of safety, environmental, and international standards.
• Familiarity with EHS&S management system implementation.
• Proven ability to motivate others effectively.
• Comprehensive 360° EHS&S knowledge encompassing Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Environmental Programs, Chemical Security, Sustainability, and Process Safety Management.
• Formal safety certification or license required where applicable.
• Certified Safety Professional or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.
• Proficient in communicating clearly, concisely, and professionally in writing and verbally in local languages and English.
• Extensive understanding of current and emerging EHS&S regulations across all countries in the region.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire, motivate, and encourage employees.
• Capability to influence senior leaders across different functions.
• Ability to represent Solenis in a professional manner during customer engagements.
• Understanding of manufacturing and administrative processes.
• Proficiency in creating effective EHS&S systems that comply with regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, with peaks reaching 60%.
