Regional Director, Medical Science Liaison – Western USA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee regional medical affairs initiatives that facilitate the execution of Phase 3 clinical trials.

• Cultivate and sustain scientific partnerships with investigators, key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), academic institutions, and integrated delivery networks.

• Assist in activities aimed at engaging investigators and sites, which include promoting trial awareness and providing protocol education.

• Act as a scientific resource for investigators and site staff.

• Lay the groundwork for a scalable field medical organization.

• Enhance engagement with targeted healthcare systems and strategic accounts in ophthalmology.

• Aid in the development and implementation of quarterly engagement goals.

• Represent SpyGlass Pharma at scientific conferences and advisory panels.

• Collect and relay insights from the field along with competitive intelligence.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced scientific or clinical degree is preferred (PharmD, PhD, OD, MD, NP, or PA).

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device sectors.

• Experience in ophthalmology, particularly in areas such as retina, glaucoma, ocular hypertension, or similar therapeutic fields, is strongly preferred.

• A solid understanding of clinical trial operations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and FDA regulations.

• Proven experience in engaging with healthcare providers, academic institutions, integrated delivery networks, and key opinion leaders.

• Exceptional scientific communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating within cross-functional teams and matrix organizations.
