This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Lead a team of Account Executives to surpass quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Act as a player/coach in the implementation of a complex, solution-oriented sales process involving multiple teams within Enterprise accounts.
• Take on a leadership role in cultivating and expanding existing business opportunities by mentoring account executives in developing and executing account strategies.
• Facilitate engagement of Smartsheet senior executives in target accounts.
• Successfully navigate all aspects of sales management, including Account/Opportunity/Relationship planning and the execution of sales methodologies.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Consulting, Customer Success, and Marketing management to pinpoint and secure software and professional services solutions within accounts.
• Proactively identify and tackle issues that can accelerate growth velocity in the sales region.
• Accurately forecast sales results and deliver on predictions effectively.
• Utilize the company’s core applications for business management, including Smartsheet, Salesforce.com, Tableau, LinkedIn, DiscoverOrg, and others.
• Possess a deep understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities present in the Enterprise market.
• Have knowledge of budgeting cycles, funding sources, and compliance requirements.
• Experienced in navigating the complexities of public sector procurement processes.
• Cross-industry sales experience with a product that caters to diverse use cases across various business lines.
• Proven history of leading sales teams to exceed quotas by significantly increasing growth in Enterprise accounts that currently utilize Smartsheet.
• Established ability to guide Strategic sales teams in executing land-and-expand strategies to consistently drive aggressive growth in Enterprise accounts.
• At least 5 years of experience in sales management within the enterprise software sector, preferably with Enterprise SaaS teams.
• Over 7 years of experience in the software industry, with current SaaS experience ideally focused on business applications (selling to sales, marketing, HR, finance, and manufacturing within Enterprise accounts).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask, collaborate cross-functionally, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Outstanding communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Inspire and lead teams; embody Smartsheet’s core values; operate with resilience and a sense of urgency.
• Demonstrated capability to implement sales methodologies (e.g., The Challenger Sale).
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth software company where change is a constant.
• Proficient in Smartsheet, Salesforce.com, Google Apps, and Tableau.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
