Regional Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acts as the representative of The IRONMAN Group within designated markets, steering regional strategy, business development, and operational excellence.

• Guides a team of Operations Managers and Race Directors in executing world-class IRONMAN events.

• Holds ultimate accountability for the safe execution of events, athlete experience outcomes, and financial performance.

• Promotes cross-functional collaboration and advocates for talent development at all levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Over 10 years of experience in event operations, business development, or regional leadership roles, collaborating cross-functionally with key stakeholders to drive business growth and performance.

• Demonstrated success in P&L management and strategic planning.

• Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing multi-site teams.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• A passion for endurance sports and a dedication to providing outstanding athlete experiences.

• Preferred: experience in collaborating with municipalities and public safety agencies (including permitting, traffic management, medical/EMS, and security) and leading event-day incident escalation.
