Regional Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic guidance and operational management for all AoPS Academy campuses within the designated region.

• Maintain AoPS's educational mission, standards, academic excellence, and student involvement.

• Set regional performance benchmarks and growth targets in collaboration with HQ teams and campus leaders.

• Evaluate performance metrics, implement enhancements, and ensure campuses meet established goals.

• Deliver KPI reports to the National Operations Director and Academy leadership.

• Conduct monthly financial assessments with campus and HQ leadership.

• Train and assist campus leaders in making financially sound decisions and ensuring accountability for financial performance.

• Recruit, develop, and oversee campus leadership teams.

• Manage campus recruitment efforts and lead professional development, cross-campus mentorship, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Determine staffing requirements, roles, promotion pathways, and compensation in collaboration with Talent Strategy and Academy leadership.

• Collaborate with Expansion teams to open new campuses, provide market insights, and assist in market research and site selection.

• Foster communication and collaboration across all management levels and departments.

• Document and relay regional feedback to HQ teams to enhance operations, systems, and processes.

• Facilitate the resolution of escalated campus issues and perform other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience in multi-site leadership and management.

• Strong skills in financial management, including budget development, oversight, and understanding margin drivers.

• A business or analytical background to aid in data and budget monitoring.

• Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.

• Preferred experience in teaching K-12 or in educational administration or management.

• Must reside in Southern California (San Diego County, Los Angeles County, or Orange County) or the Greater Seattle Area; San Diego County is strongly preferred.

• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region and occasionally outside the area.

• Availability for some evenings and weekends.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available, including STEM-OPT and H-1B.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.
