This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Drive sales revenue to achieve sales targets.
• Identify, profile, and manage current producers for new and ongoing insurance sales opportunities.
• Recruit new producers to expand the book of business.
• Leverage internal resources and collaborate with support teams to track and enhance activity.
• Create a business plan for the fiscal year aimed at meeting or surpassing sales goals.
• Expand the book of business, accounts, and territory in alignment with strategic business plan objectives.
• Foster proactive sales relationships with producers through profiling, relationship-building, and refining the broker base.
• Track monthly sales production metrics and meet the sales production objectives.
• Maintain an appropriate balance between Permanent and Term business.
• Collaborate with operations teams including contracting, illustrations, case management, underwriting, and commissions to issue and place policies.
• Stay informed about pertinent industry, legislative, and tax-related developments.
• Provide feedback to agents regarding product marketing, processing, and customer service matters.
• Conduct proactive sales calls, visits, seminars, marketing campaigns, and outreach efforts.
• Keep accurate records of CRM activities.
• Present, conduct, and organize seminars for agents.
• Exhibit technical selling skills and product knowledge in life, annuity, long-term care, and disability products.
• Guide cases from presale to placement by understanding the underwriting process.
• Must reside in Southern California.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Effective time management capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Competent in working independently as well as part of a team.
• Self-directed work style.
• Experience with PCs in a Windows environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.
• Ability to analyze issues and devise solutions.
• Capable of communicating with individuals at all levels within the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and relevant work experience.
• Exceptional prospecting, presentation, and conceptual selling abilities.
• At least four years of successful sales experience with life insurance products in the insurance sector.
• Proven track record in developing strategic sales plans and consistently meeting or exceeding assigned quotas.
• Successful sales background in the insurance brokerage industry.
• Expert knowledge and experience in life products, complex case design, carrier limits/strengths, carrier selection, and advanced sales strategies.
• Demonstrated success in recruiting new producers, growing a book of business, and transforming existing relationships into increased revenue.
