Regional Director, Americas – Caribbean

📋 Description

• Provide overall leadership and shape strategic thinking for IYF’s engagement in the region.

• Identify current and emerging challenges and priorities in youth empowerment within the region, defining strategic programming priorities at both the regional and country levels, while implementing measures to enhance the quality and effectiveness of programs.

• Assist IYF Headquarters in executing corporate strategies and support efforts related to resource mobilization and delivery.

• Build and sustain strategic partnerships for IYF in the region, emphasizing knowledge sharing, collaborative activities, and resource mobilization.

• Communicate and advocate on behalf of IYF at the regional level, creating new opportunities to enhance the circumstances of young people and women through relationships and networks with regional partners.

• Monitor the progress, effectiveness, and relevance of IYF country programs within the region, aiming to improve country program performance.

• Develop and expand IYF Member Countries in the Region both qualitatively and quantitatively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be aged between 18 and 38 for this position.

• Must be a citizen of one of the Americas & Caribbean States.

• A strong interest in youth empowerment and youth-related issues is essential.

• Preferred experience and results at the national or international level in roles related to youth empowerment, management, coordination, development, communications, international relations, youth studies, sports, women empowerment, youth-led organizations, or other relevant fields.

• Fluency in English with exceptional drafting skills is required.
