• Develop and implement a global strategy for acquiring and retaining liquidity that aligns with the company's growth goals and product roadmap.
• Establish and achieve quarterly and annual targets for revenue, volume, and spread linked to liquidity provider activities.
• Build and manage a high-performing account management team across various regions, setting KPIs, workflows, and fostering a culture of accountability.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of liquidity provider relationships, from prospecting and onboarding to ongoing optimization and expansion.
• Negotiate commercial terms, fee structures, and service level agreements (SLAs) with Tier-1 and Tier-2 market makers, OTC desks, and algorithmic trading firms.
• Monitor and evaluate liquidity quality metrics (spread, depth, fill rates) and collaborate with providers to enhance execution performance continuously.
• Work closely with the Trading, Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, API integration, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Act as the internal advocate for liquidity providers, promoting platform enhancements, new trading pairs, and infrastructure upgrades that attract and retain high-quality flow.
• Collaborate with the Institutional Sales and OTC teams to provide a cohesive client experience for high-value counterparties.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of global market microstructure, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics within both centralized and decentralized venues.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, institutional roundtables, and partner events to enhance brand positioning and broaden the partner pipeline.
• Over 10 years of experience in institutional sales, liquidity management, prime brokerage, or market-making, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success in onboarding and managing relationships with institutional liquidity providers, market makers, or prime brokerage clients.
• In-depth understanding of order book dynamics, market microstructure, FIX/API connectivity, and exchange infrastructure.
• Strong existing network within institutional trading firms, market makers, OTC desks, and/or traditional finance counterparties.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage multi-stakeholder relationships at the C-suite level.
• Exceptional analytical abilities, comfortable working with trading data, liquidity metrics, and P&L attribution.
• Experience working across various jurisdictions (APAC, EMEA, Americas) with awareness of regional regulatory frameworks.
