Public Policy Director – LATAM

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the GS1 public policy strategy within the LATAM region.

• Influence regulations and engage with key government stakeholders.

• Enhance supply chains through the implementation of standards, traceability, and collaboration.

• Create and execute plans in collaboration with GS1 Member Organisations throughout the LATAM region.

• Interact with stakeholders on public policy issues pertinent to GS1.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in public policy and government relations throughout Latin America (LATAM).

• Established relationships with national and regional institutions within the LATAM area.

• In-depth knowledge of the FMCG/retail and consumer goods policy landscape.

• Familiarity with data standards and the concept of policy interoperability.

• Capacity to align technical standards with policy goals.

• Established credibility with senior officials and industry leaders.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

• Proficient in legislative analysis, impact assessment, and mapping risks and opportunities.
