Assistant Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance clear storyboard instructions in alignment with the director’s vision, transforming creative direction into practical guidance for storyboard artists.

• Collaborate with animators to review scripts and storyboards, providing clear and actionable direction.

• Guide and mentor animators to elevate output quality, fostering team growth through constructive feedback and skill enhancement.

• Ensure that animators have access to all necessary assets (e.g., backgrounds), coordinating with illustrators when required.

• Oversee animation work throughout the production process to maintain quality and prevent late-stage revisions.

• Set up animation renders and produce draft pacing versions for review by the Creative Director.

• Ensure consistency in animation quality and tone across both Shorts and long-form videos.

• Detect errors or inefficiencies and assist in refining workflows over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in animation production, with a preference for 2D.

• Hands-on experience with animation software such as Moho.

• Comprehensive understanding of animation pipelines and production workflows.

• Solid grasp of pacing, timing, and visual storytelling techniques.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of guiding and providing feedback to animators.

• Experience in reviewing animation work and upholding quality standards.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects, especially for compositing workflows, along with familiarity in Adobe Premiere.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capability to manage multiple assets and dynamic components.

• Proactive and solution-focused mindset.

• Nice to have: Experience in training or mentoring animators.

• Nice to have: Experience in YouTube or fast-paced content production environments.

• Nice to have: Ability to balance speed and quality within high-output workflows.
