This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Formulate and implement a growth strategy tailored to the region, aimed at enhancing Lumens’ contract and commercial operations.
• Discover and pursue novel business prospects within the hospitality, multi-family, procurement, corporate, and commercial sectors.
• Engage in continuous market research and competitive assessments to pinpoint high-potential accounts, emerging projects, and strategic partnerships.
• Cultivate relationships with key commercial stakeholders, including ownership groups, developers, procurement firms, hospitality operators, contractors, commercial specifiers, and distribution partners in the region.
• Maintain a proactive presence in the market through regional travel, client meetings, presentations, networking functions, trade shows, and industry involvement.
• Represent the Lumens brand and its contract capabilities within the commercial design and procurement sectors.
• Manage and expand strategic regional contract accounts while establishing enduring client relationships.
• Oversee projects through the entire sales lifecycle, from initial opportunity development and specification to procurement and fulfillment.
• Influence fixture schedules, product choices, and sourcing strategies to secure project specifications.
• Collaborate with clients on value engineering solutions, budget alignment, and product alternatives, while maintaining project intent and sales potential.
• Develop strategies for account penetration that enhance market share across lighting, furniture, and décor categories.
• Foster robust relationships with key stakeholders at various levels of client organizations.
• Work closely with the internal contract sales support team to guarantee smooth project execution, promptness, and effective client communication.
• Collaborate across departments with Customer Operations, Fulfillment, Finance, Product, and Sales leadership teams to ensure project success.
• Supply market insights and customer feedback to help shape regional strategy, category growth, and business priorities.
• Maintain well-organized pipeline management and forecasting through CRM and sales management tools.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract sales, commercial furnishings, specification sales, architectural products, hospitality sales, or related B2B sectors.
• Demonstrated success in managing strategic accounts and fostering regional business development growth.
• Experience collaborating with hospitality groups, developers, procurement firms, contractors, distributors, architects, or commercial design firms.
• Strong grasp of project-based sales cycles, specification influence, procurement processes, and value engineering discussions.
• Preferred experience in managing large, multi-phase commercial or contract projects.
• Proficiency in CRM and pipeline management tools, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or comparable systems.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–25% within designated regional markets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities.
