Regional Civil Design Engineer – Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare and oversee the creation of civil design and construction plans, which encompass notes, details, plan and profile sheets, and cross-sections.

• Create schedules, assign projects, and update the project database.

• Draft and negotiate design agreements, detailing the schedule, scope, and budget.

• Compile and submit project permitting packages.

• Lead the team in conducting technical stormwater calculations for the development of athletic facilities.

• Generate technical reports, memos, and exhibits to bolster project documentation.

• Conduct technical reviews of drawings, specifications, calculations, shop drawings, and other engineering documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.

• Research and select technical reference materials for project specifications.

• Assist the sales team with conceptual designs and participate in sales meetings with clients.

• This role requires strong communication skills—comfort is necessary when interacting with jurisdictions, peers, clients, and supervisors to guarantee project success.

• Ensure adherence to company safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.

• Collaborate with installation crews, subcontractors, and sales teams to address technical and operational issues.

• Conduct site construction visits and compile related field reports.

• Review and authorize subcontractor invoices, supporting project managers with billing, design, and engineering responsibilities.

• Oversee project closeout processes, including Certificates of Completion, As-Builts, and final checklists.

• Provide subject matter expertise to sales and clients to secure contracts.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or a technical school degree with equivalent experience.

• A Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred (CA, OR, WA), along with 6-10 years of experience and the capability for licensure reciprocity in adjacent jurisdictions.

• Experience in civil site design, which includes site layout, grading, drainage, water, sewer, earthwork, and sediment control, is preferred.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting and design purposes.
