
Regional Category Manager β Mechanical, Doors

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
β’ Design and execute the regional sourcing strategy for elevator doors and fabricated mechanical parts.
β’ Provide leadership at the regional level for strategic sourcing efforts to enhance business value and competitiveness.
β’ Meet annual productivity goals by optimizing the supply chain and encouraging competitive dynamics.
β’ Offer operational support to manufacturing and field sites for all door and fabricated component requirements.
β’ Track and enhance supplier On-Time Delivery performance.
β’ Oversee price adjustments and ensure adherence to procurement system compliance.
β’ Ensure compliance with Otis procurement policies and procedures.
β’ Assist in resolving supplier-related issues such as delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and logistical hurdles.
β’ Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
β’ Negotiate supplier agreements and pricing using a data-driven approach.
β’ Manage the regional supply chain, driving continuous enhancements in cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
β’ Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supplier risks.
β’ Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to align on technical specifications.
β’ Bachelor's degree in engineering or purchasing; a Master's degree is preferred.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in procurement, category management, and team leadership.
β’ Experience in global, matrixed, industrial organizations is preferred.
β’ Strong skills in negotiation and contract management.
β’ Proficient in Excel, procurement systems (JD Edwards, SAP, EDI), and cost modeling techniques.
β’ Capable of influencing and collaborating across all levels of the organization.
β’ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience in multicultural settings.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 20% within the NAA region.
