Regional Category Manager – Machines, Strategic Components

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Lead the sourcing initiatives for elevator machines and essential strategic components throughout the NAA region.

• Develop and execute the regional sourcing strategy for Machines & Strategic Components.

• Provide operational assistance to NAA manufacturing and field locations regarding all machine and strategic component requirements.

• Track supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) and initiate corrective actions as necessary.

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms utilizing data-driven models.

• Oversee the entire supplier base for machines and strategic components.

• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure alignment of specifications and strategies.

• Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) related to emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or purchasing; a Master's degree is preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in procurement, category management, and team leadership.

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical components, with a preference for experience in motors, ropes, or rotating machinery.

• Experience in global, matrixed industrial organizations is preferred.

• Exceptional negotiation and contract management abilities.

• Proficient in Excel, procurement systems (such as JD Edwards, SAP, EDI), and cost modeling.

• Capable of influencing and collaborating across all levels of the organization.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in multicultural environments.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% within the NAA region.

• U.S. work authorization is required without sponsorship.
