This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jamaica, +2 more countries.
• Evaluate and prioritize target markets, sectors, and potential clients throughout the Caribbean.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with governments, banks, fintech companies, payment service providers, telecommunications firms, and institutional clients.
• Lead presentations and solution pitches directed at senior decision-makers, including C-suite executives, government officials, and heads of digital transformation.
• Establish and maintain long-term client relationships at the executive level.
• Oversee contract negotiations and structure intricate deals from initial contact to signing and execution.
• Develop and implement a regional business development strategy.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Legal, and Finance teams to transform client requirements into actionable solutions, serving as the internal voice of the client.
• Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform growth strategy.
• Represent the company at regional and international conferences, summits, and client meetings.
• Create an active business pipeline within the first 90 to 180 days and secure multiple signed contracts within 12 to 24 months.
• Must be currently residing in a Caribbean country with the legal right to work there; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Demonstrated business development success in fintech, payments, banking, or financial services.
• Proven history of closing high-value, complex deals from opportunity identification to contract signing.
• Capability to enter new markets, identify suitable payment and digitization solutions, and build a robust pipeline.
• Experience in selling to or collaborating with C-suite executives and government officials.
• Familiarity with working alongside financial regulators in the fintech sector.
• Strong understanding of Caribbean markets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payment infrastructure, including payment rails, back-end integrations, core banking systems, and processing.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Preferred: CARICOM citizenship.
• Preferred: Previous work experience in the Caribbean region.
• Preferred: Established network within government and public sector bodies.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Spanish.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Central American markets.
• Preferred: Experience with market entry or establishing a new territory from the ground up.
• Competitive base salary ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 USD per month, plus discretionary bonuses.
