Regional Business Development Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Take charge of early business development efforts for Michigan and the wider Midwest region.

• Establish connections with vending operators, micro-market managers, payment service providers, convenience retail organizations, workplace service providers, industrial sites, commercial property owners, and strategic location collaborators.

• Discover pilot opportunities in vending, unattended retail, workplace retail, and other self-service settings.

• Assist in organizing local meetings, product demonstrations, customer follow-ups, and discussions with partners.

• Collaborate directly with the founder on regional market development, pricing strategies, customer insights, and sales materials.

• Convert customer feedback into product, deployment, and operational specifications.

• Manage early field operations, demo arrangements, pilot assistance, and partner success initiatives.

• Contribute to defining the scaling strategy for the company throughout Michigan and the broader Midwest.

• Lay the groundwork for a future regional team focused on business development, operations, field support, and customer success.


⛳️ Requirements

• Direct experience required in at least one of the following areas:

• - Vending machines

• - Unattended retail

• - Payments, POS, or merchant services

• - Convenience retail

• - Micro-markets

• - Coffee vending or office coffee service

• - Retail automation

• - Self-service kiosks

• - Automated retail hardware or related technologies

• - A robust network in Spain or Iberia among relevant operators, partners, distributors, retailers, or technology providers.

• Capability to sell and operate within a hardware-plus-software framework.

• Proficiency in understanding business and technical discussions regarding machines, payments, services, inventory, and operations.

• Fluency in Spanish is required.

• Professional proficiency in English is necessary.

• Willingness to travel throughout Spain, Portugal, and other pertinent Iberian markets.

• Comfort working in an early-stage startup environment characterized by limited structure and significant autonomy.

• Excellent communication abilities with founders, customers, technical teams, and senior external partners.
