This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Accountable for cultivating new accounts and/or generating additional business from current accounts.
• Actively seeks sales opportunities and visits customer locations within the designated geographic territory.
• Implements sales strategies, identifies new prospects/leads, and prepares sales reports.
• Meets set sales targets by selling directly to employer groups as well as through insurance brokers, consultants, and benefit administration firms.
• Gathers RFPs and RFIs that align with customer requirements.
• Responsible for staying informed about industry trends and competitive products, and communicating insights to the organization.
• Participates in trade shows, exhibitions, and company meetings as necessary.
• Customizes sales presentations for clients to improve their understanding of pet insurance.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.
• 6 years of experience in group voluntary insurance benefits, sales, and/or related fields.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience (One year of relevant experience equates to one year of college).
• Licenses/Certifications: Must possess and maintain a Resident State Property & Casualty License, or obtain it within 60 days of hire; AND a Non-Resident Property & Casualty License for all US States, or secure it within 60 days of hire.
• Other: Travel requirements range from 40% to 70% within the territory, depending on business needs.
• Must hold a valid driver's license from the province or territory of residence.
• A valid passport is required for travel to the United States.
• Must have and maintain vehicle insurance for transportation used when visiting customer sites.
