This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement strategic business development initiatives for designated territories, markets, and target accounts.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate new customers and revenue prospects within the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
• Construct and sustain a robust and qualified sales pipeline.
• Forge relationships with senior decision-makers and high-level customer contacts.
• Lead customer discovery efforts and showcase the capabilities of Marken and UPS Healthcare.
• Oversee the commercial lifecycle from prospecting to solution development, pricing, negotiation, contract awarding, and implementation transition.
• Direct responses to intricate RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Operations, Solutions, Quality, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and other stakeholders on commercial proposals.
• Negotiate commercial terms while safeguarding revenue and profitability.
• Create strategies for account penetration and expansion.
• Keep track of opportunity, pipeline, activity, and forecasting data in Salesforce and other systems.
• Provide forecasts and communicate the status of opportunities, risks, competitive insights, and internal actions.
• Monitor industry trends, customer advancements, competitive movements, and market opportunities.
• Represent Marken and UPS Healthcare at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.
• Assist in the transition of awarded business to Implementation and Operations.
• Meet assigned goals for new business revenue, pipeline, activity, and commercial performance.
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Extensive experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles involving intricate B2B solutions.
• Proven track record of personally originating, developing, and closing new business opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to build territories and cultivate pipelines through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
• Experience in managing complex sales cycles involving multiple customer and internal stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and financial insight, including pricing, profitability, revenue, and solution economics.
• Capacity to engage senior and executive-level customer stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed, cross-functional, and global organization.
• Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple significant opportunities concurrently.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, for opportunity management, pipeline development, and forecasting.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed for customer and business requirements.
• Preferred experience in healthcare logistics, pharmaceutical services, biotechnology, clinical trials, clinical supply chain, specialty logistics, advanced therapies, healthcare distribution, 3PL, express logistics, or related fields.
• Established knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, clinical research, or healthcare customer environments.
• Experience in selling complex global or multi-service logistics and supply chain solutions.
• Background with strategic RFQs/RFPs, contract negotiations, and large enterprise opportunities.
• Existing relationships in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, advanced therapy, or relevant healthcare markets.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
