This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Serve current accounts, secure orders, and create new accounts by strategically planning and organizing daily customer interactions.
• Tailor sales presentations to align with different customer types and the competitive landscape.
• Recognize sales opportunities and guide accounts towards suitable products.
• Request sales quotations and process orders in accordance with part numbers and agency purchasing protocols.
• Provide activity and results reports to management.
• Utilize the company CRM on a daily basis to develop and oversee the sales pipeline, inform revenue and demand forecasts, measure KPIs, and enhance performance.
• Analyze CRM data to gain insights into the market, enhance market penetration, and outperform competitors.
• Track competitor pricing, products, delivery timelines, and merchandising strategies.
• Address customer inquiries within 24 hours.
• Suggest modifications to products, services, and policies based on outcomes and competitive insights.
• Resolve customer complaints through problem investigation, solution development, report preparation, and management recommendations.
• Build professional relationships with vendor representatives and enhance product knowledge.
• Participate in regional trade shows and training events while maintaining professional and technical expertise.
• Contribute to team objectives and undertake other assigned responsibilities.
• Directly report to the VP of Sales or Regional Sales Director.
• Oversee the regional sales budget.
• Must reside in Eastern North Carolina.
• Strong customer service, territory management, negotiation, and sales-closing competencies.
• At least two years of experience in law enforcement or emergency services sales.
• A four-year degree or equivalent experience in Business Sales and Marketing.
• Experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
• Average a minimum of 12 physical sales calls per week.
• Organize at least two regional vendor demonstrations annually.
• Ability to effectively present information to individuals or groups.
• Capable of managing multiple projects within designated timelines.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and generate and finalize sales.
• Proficient in using personal computers, MS Office applications, and the Internet.
• Detail-oriented and focused on results.
• Competence in completing tasks and processes accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to facilitate workflow for processes or procedures.
• Active participation as a team member is essential.
• Must comply with company policies and safety protocols.
• Required to maintain a clean, professional appearance and keep a tidy, presentable, and safe workspace.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
