This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Oversee the development, coaching, performance management, and daily operations of a geographically distributed Field Access Manager team.
β’ Direct field reimbursement initiatives within the designated region to meet patient access goals.
β’ Monitor field activities, pinpoint market opportunities and access challenges, and create actionable regional strategies.
β’ Assist healthcare provider offices, enhance account engagement, and boost patient access results.
β’ Organize in-field activities to optimize market, segment, and team interactions.
β’ Offer guidance, prioritization, coaching, and accountability for regional field implementation.
β’ Perform field visits, ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
β’ Cultivate a high-performing field team through skill-gap assessments, development plans, best practices, engagement, inclusion, accountability, and ongoing learning.
β’ Maintain subject matter expertise and address inquiries related to products, policies, and business matters.
β’ Plan and facilitate plan-of-action and other meetings with corporate leadership.
β’ Ensure adherence to applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
β’ Provide direction and insights to internal stakeholders for business planning.
β’ Collaborate with training, analytics, compliance, HUB operations, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
β’ Coach, mentor, educate, and develop both direct and indirect team members.
β’ Create individualized development plans featuring measurable objectives and regular progress monitoring.
β’ Convert business priorities, regional access insights, and performance metrics into coaching strategies and team operational rhythms.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is required.
β’ Minimum of 12 years in the pharmaceutical sector with knowledge of payer policy and product access.
β’ At least 7 years of experience in benefit verifications and/or prior-authorization requirements or equivalent patient access expertise.
β’ A minimum of 3 years leading successful field access/reimbursement teams, encompassing coaching, development, and performance management of field-based staff.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy and medical benefit product models.
β’ Familiarity with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures, including Medicare Parts B and D coverage.
β’ Knowledge of specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement services, and patient access initiatives.
β’ Strong analytical abilities to evaluate market conditions, competitor activities, and ongoing diabetes monitoring trends.
β’ Proficient in gathering and interpreting data to inform regional strategies, including HUB and patient claims information.
β’ Computer skills: Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and videoconferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, GoTo Meeting).
β’ An advanced degree is preferred.
β’ Experience in Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Endocrinology is preferred.
β’ Previous experience in an Access/Reimbursement leadership role during product launches is preferred.
β’ Prior experience in other biopharmaceutical functions is a plus.
