Refrigeration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on refrigeration systems.

• Diagnose and address equipment issues by fostering relationships with local external contractors.

• Select and oversee external contractors for the installation of freezers on-site.

• Manage repairs or preventive maintenance orders (PMs) primarily utilizing hand tools.

• Offer guidance over the phone and travel for in-person inspections when necessary.

• Develop and maintain assessment reports for corporate regarding the conditions and plans for freezers.

• Train donor center staff to effectively operate freezers.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• Preferably completed an Air Conditioning / Refrigeration vocational program, trade school, college, or apprenticeship.

• EPA certification is preferred.

• At least 3 years of practical experience in repairing and troubleshooting refrigeration equipment in a Commercial / Industrial setting.

• Experience in a Pharmaceutical / Biotech environment is an advantage.
