This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the recruitment team by establishing clear expectations and facilitating individual growth.
• Manage the entire recruitment process across various roles: from intake and screening to profiling and seamless handoff to client placement advisors.
• Participate in live interviews, review screening decisions, and ensure accurate execution directly, maintaining close involvement to understand what constitutes quality.
• Take responsibility for the recruiting team's close rate and assessment pass-rate integrity as personal metrics — not only tracking them but also being accountable for any changes, acting proactively before a slow quarter becomes a trend.
• Assess the balance between speed and quality directly — when pipeline volume increases but placements do not, identify whether it's a screening issue, client-fit issue, or handoff issue, and address the correct one.
• Personally bridge the gap between who interviews a candidate and who decides if they are suitable for a client — screening and profiling are interconnected steps; the recruiter closest to the candidate owns the decision, with you reviewing the rationale behind it.
• Collaborate with client placement advisors and leadership to anticipate staffing needs, prioritize open positions, and develop capacity plans.
• Establish, monitor, and enforce the recruiting team's KPIs and metrics, utilizing them to keep the team aligned, efficient, and focused without compromising quality.
• Ensure team alignment, efficiency, and consistency: conduct regular reviews, eliminate bottlenecks, and balance speed with quality standards to maintain both.
• Organize regular calibration sessions to maintain consistent screening standards across the team, and address underperformance within a defined timeline instead of allowing it to linger.
• Develop and enhance screening frameworks and staffing workflows tailored to cross-border legal placements.
• Continuously improve recruitment methods, advocating for superior tools, calibration techniques, and rigorous profiling as the team expands.
• Promote an outstanding candidate experience and a consistent employer brand at every interaction.
• Report on team performance, screening quality, and pipeline health to the CEO, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Over 3 years of experience managing recruitment teams in a remote environment, with a proven history of leading and developing recruiters.
• Demonstrated expertise in recruiting across LATAM, the Philippines, and/or South Africa for placements: this is essential.
• Practical experience managing recruiters through an ATS, with a focus on auditing and enhancing the screening processes and associated rubrics.
• Strong understanding of quality-centric recruiting metrics: pass-rate integrity, screening consistency, and time-to-fill, and how to leverage them to maintain depth without stalling the pipeline.
• Proven ability to uphold a high evaluative standard under pipeline pressure and to identify issues before they escalate into client problems.
• Experience in turning around a declining conversion or quality metric within a recruitment function — not merely maintaining one that is already performing well.
• Background in scenarios where screening and final placement decisions were made by different individuals or teams, with direct experience resolving that issue.
• Experience in developing or enhancing screening frameworks, interview rigor, and profiling workflows, preferably in a cross-border or high-compliance staffing setting.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to conduct direct, challenging accountability conversations across a distributed, global team.
• You naturally take action based on incomplete information rather than waiting for full certainty — and can cite specific instances where this instinct was beneficial, as well as where it was not.
• A data-driven, organized, and proactive approach to prioritizing and leading work.
• Fully remote position with a flexible work schedule.
• Competitive base salary.
• Annual performance bonus.
• Anniversary loyalty bonuses.
• Company-sponsored health insurance.
• Generous PTO that increases with tenure (up to 30 days per year).
• Birthday PTO day.
• 7 U.S. paid holidays.
• 5 paid sick days per year.
• Bereavement leave.
• Additional unpaid personal leave available.
• Home office stipend for equipment and workspace improvements.
• Computer replacement stipend.
• Monthly internet allowance (increases with tenure).
• Professional development and training programs.
• Education support for high performers.
• A collaborative, supportive team culture where individuals genuinely care about each other's success.
• A fast-paced environment where your contributions are visible and have a direct impact.
• Clear growth trajectory: we promote from within and recognize high performers.
