This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Identify and engage with new clients in the UK engineering and manufacturing industries.
• Create new business opportunities through proactive outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and targeted campaigns.
• Establish new accounts and expand territories within design engineering, project engineering, and related technical sectors.
• Develop relationships with hiring managers, business owners, and senior decision-makers.
• Effectively qualify job briefs, comprehending the technical requirements and commercial opportunities.
• Introduce the company’s recruitment services to prospective clients and establish the business as a specialist recruitment partner.
• Keep precise records of client interactions, pipeline activities, and business development progress.
• Utilize recruitment tools such as campaign platforms, market mapping software, phone systems, LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator, and top job boards to assist with outreach and market research.
• Collaborate closely with the leadership team to formulate target lists, campaign strategies, and account development plans.
• Provide support in candidate resourcing when necessary, although the primary focus of the role will be on business development and acquiring new clients.
• Continuously strive towards revenue goals, meetings, and new business targets.
• Prior experience in recruitment is essential, preferably within engineering, manufacturing, technical, or IT sectors.
• Experience in engineering or manufacturing recruitment would be highly beneficial.
• Proven business development experience with a track record of generating leads, scheduling meetings, and acquiring new clients.
• A phone-first approach with confidence in making regular outbound calls.
• Strong resilience, tenacity, and comfort with facing rejection.
• Commercially driven, target-oriented, and motivated to maximize earnings through performance.
• Ability to grasp technical roles, client needs, and the functioning of products, projects, or engineering teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and capability to manage a sales pipeline effectively.
• Comfortable utilizing recruitment technology, CRM systems, LinkedIn, job boards, and outreach tools.
• Must have access to a reliable laptop, stable high-speed internet, and a quiet, professional working environment.
• Commission structure to be discussed and aligned with market expectations.
