This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and recruit qualified 1099 drivers through job boards, recruiting platforms, social media, referrals, and industry connections.
• Evaluate and qualify driver candidates in accordance with company standards and FMCSA regulations.
• Examine MVRs, driving records, employment history, and qualification documents.
• Ensure drivers comply with all FMCSA standards and company requirements.
• Organize pre-employment and random drug testing protocols.
• Verify CDL status, driving experience, endorsements, and eligibility criteria.
• Support the driver onboarding and orientation processes.
• Keep precise driver records and compliance documentation.
• Develop and nurture a pool of qualified owner-operators and drivers.
• Engage potential shippers, brokers, and customers to create owner-operator opportunities.
• Contribute to business development initiatives aimed at securing new transportation contracts.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules along with transportation logistics.
• Communicate with drivers about schedules, loads, routes, and operational updates.
• Monitor driver availability and aid in load coverage planning.
• Manage customer communication concerning scheduling and transportation updates.
• Maintain operational spreadsheets, reports, and transportation records.
• Assist in dispatch coordination and daily transportation operations.
• Follow up with drivers, customers, and prospects to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance recruiting, onboarding, and operational processes.
• Minimum of 2.5 years of demonstrated experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, driver recruiting, dispatching, or fleet operations.
• Strong familiarity with FMCSA regulations and driver qualification standards.
• Experience in reviewing MVRs and driver qualification files.
• Knowledge of CDL requirements, drug testing programs, and compliance standards.
• Proven experience in recruiting drivers via job boards and online recruiting platforms.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience in coordinating schedules and managing transportation operations.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and transportation software.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
