This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Take ownership of the complete hiring process — source, screen, interview, and finalize candidates for both technical (engineering, product) and non-technical (sales, operations) positions.
• Develop and oversee the hiring pipeline — establish SLAs for each phase, monitor time-to-hire, source effectiveness, and conversion rates; provide insights and suggest modifications when necessary.
• Initiate proactive sourcing efforts — utilize LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, and niche channels; actively seek outbound leads rather than waiting for inbound applications.
• Elevate process standards — enhance interview frameworks, scoring rubrics, ATS configurations, and offer templates; document effective strategies and eliminate ineffective ones.
• Ensure a uniform candidate experience — every candidate, regardless of the outcome, should receive clear and professional feedback from Farel.
• Over 5 years of experience in recruiting, with a minimum of 2 years in a high-demand environment — such as a startup, scale-up, or a high-volume in-house team.
• A proven history of successfully closing both technical and commercial/operational roles, preferably within a single organization.
• Naturally data-driven — you monitor funnel metrics, identify bottlenecks, and understand which actions to take to enhance both speed and quality.
• Direct experience collaborating with C-level executives (CEO, COO).
• Self-directed and goal-oriented — capable of managing multiple open roles (5+) simultaneously and meeting deadlines without daily oversight.
• Proficient in English — capable of conducting interviews, written communication, and asynchronous collaboration with a global team.
• Success-oriented fee structure — compensation is linked to the number of closed hires.
