Recovery Coach – Future Hire

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Establish trusting and nonjudgmental relationships with clients through shared lived experiences.

• Leverage personal recovery experiences to provide hope, motivation, and accountability.

• Work collaboratively with participants and the Holon care team to create tailored recovery plans.

• Connect clients with community resources such as housing, healthcare, employment, and transportation.

• Perform strengths-based assessments to determine client needs and objectives.

• Advocate for clients within the justice system, care system, and other relevant settings.

• Collaborate with Care Navigators, clinicians, and judicial contacts for integrated care.

• Stay updated on best practices in peer support and recovery-oriented care.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.

• Participate in new initiatives and engagement strategies as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Sustained recovery with a minimum of one year of lived experience (strongly preferred).

• Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) or Peer Recovery Coach.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach or PRS in Iowa; national certification from an accredited agency like NAADAC is also accepted.

• 1–2 years of experience in a peer support role is strongly preferred.

• Lived experience or a close connection to someone in recovery is highly valued.

• Experience with justice-involved populations is advantageous.

• Strong empathy, listening, and communication skills.

• Understanding of recovery challenges and barriers clients may encounter.

• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.

• Ability to work remotely in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
