This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the inventory of lab hardware, which includes enterprise servers, prototype platforms, chips, fixtures, cables, peripherals, spare parts, and testing equipment.
• Accept, label, rack, configure, deploy, maintain, and retire hardware for engineering teams.
• Diagnose issues related to hardware, firmware, system initialization, part replacements, repair coordination, and RMA processes for both benchtop and in-rack systems.
• Monitor hardware ownership, location, configuration, status, usage, lifecycle phase, and readiness for decommissioning.
• Enhance lab procedures for check-in/check-out processes, deployment requests, repairs, safety, asset cleanliness, and equipment preparedness.
• Leverage AI tools to automate and improve daily operations efficiently and systematically.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering lab, data center, hardware validation lab, manufacturing lab, infrastructure lab, or a comparable technical setting.
• Practical knowledge of enterprise server hardware, PC components, networking equipment, power tools, lab fixtures, and prototype devices.
• Proven experience in assembling, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing, and deploying hardware systems.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory, asset tracking, ticketing, documentation, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of ESD protocols, lab safety standards, and the proper handling of critical or pre-production hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with engineers, program managers, vendors, operations teams, and cross-functional collaborators.
