R&D Consultant – Consulting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform research, data analysis, and benchmarking to facilitate client projects in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device R&D sectors.

• Aid in formulating recommendations for process enhancements, technology integration, and advancements in data strategy for life sciences organizations.

• Collaborate closely with clients and project teams to collect business requirements, analyze industry trends, and provide actionable insights.

• Create presentations, reports, and strategic roadmaps to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both clients and internal teams.

• Assist in project execution by organizing stakeholder meetings, monitoring deliverables, and contributing to the overall engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in management consulting with experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device R&D.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of synthesizing complex data, conducting market research, and aiding in strategy formulation.

• Experience in R&D operations, drug discovery, or clinical development, with insight into key industry challenges and trends.

• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, enabling the creation of high-quality presentations, reports, and financial models to assist client engagements.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, adept at working within cross-functional teams, engaging with clients, and contributing to project deliverables.

• Advanced degree (PhD, MBA, or MS) in a Life Science related field is preferred (nice-to-have).

• Experience in defining epics, features, and user stories to support digital transformation efforts, technology implementations, and process improvements in Life Sciences R&D is a plus (nice-to-have).

• Familiarity with emerging technologies in R&D, such as AI/ML in drug discovery, real-world evidence (RWE), and digital clinical trials (nice-to-have).

• Previous experience in business development support, including proposal writing, competitive analysis, or client presentations (nice-to-have).
