This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Submits invoices to payers promptly and accurately for the products and services rendered.
• Comprehends the terms and fee schedules associated with all contracts for which invoices are issued.
• Accurately calculates quantities and prices for billed medications.
• Confirms that services and products have the necessary authorization and that required documentation is maintained.
• Ensures invoices are submitted for services and products that have been properly ordered and confirmed as delivered.
• Assesses received payments for accuracy and applies them correctly to the system.
• Validates that incoming payments are accurate according to the established fee schedule.
• Appropriately applies payments to patient accounts.
• Guarantees that secondary bills and patient invoices are dispatched within 48 hours of payment receipt.
• Alerts the Reimbursement Manager regarding any overpayments or duplicate payments for the same service.
• Transfers payments allocated to other offices within 48 hours of receipt.
• Follows up on submitted invoices to ensure timely and prompt payment.
• Contacts to confirm that submitted claims have been received and are being processed.
• Sends correspondence to the patient or responsible party when their insurance provider fails to make payment within a reasonable timeframe.
• Generates and sends out statements and collection letters.
• Follows up on all denials within 48 hours of receipt.
• Ensures adherence to policies and guidelines specified in the contract terms and fee schedule.
• Complies with HIPAA guidelines when accessing and sharing patient information to uphold patient and business confidentiality.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0 – 6 months of prior experience in Infusion Reimbursement or Intake/Admissions.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word.
