Radar Site Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer specialized knowledge on the integration, operation, and lifecycle support of radar systems.

• Assist FAA surveillance initiatives by conducting performance analysis, troubleshooting, and planning for modernization.

• Observe, document, and report technical information related to the installation and modernization of FAA radar systems.

• Work collaboratively with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and engineering teams.

• Create and submit technical and status reports throughout the site survey, pre-installation, installation, testing, and acceptance phases.

• Inform Peraton leadership of significant risks, issues, and opportunities along with their potential impacts on the schedule.

• Supervise site and vendor technicians.

• Monitor past and future equipment installation timelines to ensure adherence to FAA regulations.

• Track updated systems following installation and acceptance testing.

• Coordinate with site technicians and vendors regarding calibrations, alignments, and additional testing procedures.

• Aid in optimizing ATC systems to enhance radar detection capabilities and data precision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.

• Capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust clearance.

• A minimum of 12 years of experience with a BS/BA, 10 years with an MS/MA, 7 years with a Ph.D., or 16 years with a high school diploma.

• Extensive hands-on technical experience, including maintenance on moderately complex systems such as radars, radios, or networks.

• Background in radar systems as either an operator or technician.

• Strong self-motivated characteristics.

• Demonstrated agile and adaptive leadership and support skills.

• Proficient in implementing conflict resolution and deconfliction strategies.

• Ability to work independently in agile environments with minimal oversight and/or managerial supervision.

• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adhere to established processes and procedures.

• Willingness and capacity for up to 75% travel.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to evaluate substantial amounts of relevant data and generate comprehensive technical reports within tight deadlines.

• Familiarity with radar operations, ATC systems and operations, and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems is preferred.

• Proficient use of Microsoft products and business applications is preferred.
