This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.
• Actively monitor and assess risk metrics across all product sectors.
• Deliver consistent reporting on key risk indicators (KRIs) and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate on project management and the establishment of new processes related to risk.
• Define requirements for future IT advancements, automation, and enhancements in controls.
• Incorporate risk considerations into business decisions alongside relationship managers, trade desk, business operations, and compliance teams.
• Play a role in educating teams about risk management practices.
• Design, implement, document, and uphold risk models, including margin/leverage models, VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
• Examine and interpret large datasets to uncover trends, correlations, and risk exposures.
• Validate existing models and conduct back-testing.
• Perform ad hoc analysis for risk events, client inquiries, and emerging market conditions.
• Execute counterparty-side credit risk analysis and formulate a credit risk framework.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and practices, particularly concerning margin requirements and models.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 1-3 years of experience in quantitative risk analysis or similar roles within the financial services sector.
• Proficiency in coding with Python, Matlab, R, or comparable languages.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods, VaR, time series analysis, and stress testing techniques.
• Familiarity with financial products such as derivatives, fixed income, and equities.
• Experience with risk management systems and data platforms like Bloomberg, RiskMetrics, SAS, or SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
