Quality Inspector, BESS & Substation Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee Quality activities at Valard’s BESS and Substation construction locations.

• Perform inspections on electrical, civil, and structural installations.

• Execute Valard’s Quality Program and Quality Management System.

• Prepare Progressive Turnover Packages in accordance with client specifications.

• Carry out Quality Assurance and Quality Control tasks on-site.

• Apply the Quality Manual, project-specific Quality Plans, and Inspection and Test Plans.

• Assist project teams in ensuring adherence to client and regulatory standards.

• Coordinate with Clients, Engineers, and subcontractor Quality representatives.

• Evaluate assemblies and installations for compliance with specifications.

• Record and monitor deficiencies and oversee corrective measures.

• Maintain the Master Punch List and compile QA/QC documentation packages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Post-Secondary education in a relevant field.

• Proven experience in a Construction Quality Assurance / Quality Control role.

• Strong skills in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Canada is essential.

• Preferred: Experience with power systems, including Substations, BESS, Transmission, or Distribution.
