Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold extensive test plans, test cases, and regression test suites for over 30 licensed WMS modules.

• Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end warehouse workflow tests, spanning from receiving to shipping.

• Validate REST/OData APIs against the generated controllers.

• Attain a deep understanding of the product architecture and multi-tenant model within six months.

• Meet project velocity, quality, and accuracy benchmarks.

• Recognize opportunities for innovation and ongoing enhancement in testing practices.

• Formulate regression strategies for intricate multi-module warehouse systems.

• Identify deficiencies and suggest improvements in test automation processes or architecture.

• Contribute ideas for process, workflow, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Employ risk-based testing and prioritization to optimize coverage.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, support teams, PSG, and other stakeholders.

• Generate test documentation, defect reports, and clear written communications.

• Document test plans, create exact reproduction steps, and conduct root cause analysis.

• In the first year, establish and manage regression suites, highlight test coverage gaps, propose solutions, and enhance team processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in an Agile development setting.

• Proven capability to independently devise test strategies and regression plans for complex multi-module systems.

• Experience in mentoring or guiding junior team members.

• Demonstrated ability to articulate technical issues, root causes, and relevant solutions.

• Strong analytical and investigative skills for performing root cause analysis.

• Proficiency in English.

• Required: C# and .NET Framework 4.8.

• Required: MSSQL.

• Required: REST/OData API testing.

• Required: Test management tools such as Azure DevOps Test Plans or similar.

• Required: Test plan creation.

• Required: End-to-end WMS workflow testing.

• Required: Multi-tenant application testing.

• Required: Azure DevOps and Git.

• Required: Risk-based testing and test prioritization.

• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management domains.

• Preferred: Experience testing multi-tenant enterprise applications with complex module interdependencies.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Warehouse Management System business processes.

• Preferred: Testing of mobile/handheld RF device interfaces.

• Preferred: Experience with automated API testing frameworks.

• Preferred: WCF service testing.

• Preferred: Load/performance testing.

• Preferred: Barcode/label printing workflow testing.

• Preferred: Database testing.

• Preferred: Scenarios involving modular licensing and feature toggling.

• Preferred: Testing of generated code systems.

• Preferred: Validation of xbase++ or legacy scripts.

• Preferred: Testing of warehouse automation interfaces.

• Preferred: Strategies for test data management in multi-tenant environments.

• Preferred: Integration with CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: Understanding of NHibernate ORM behavior and testing data access layer patterns.

• Preferred: Validation of SSRS reports.

• Preferred: Testing of voice picking and smart cart workflows.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Preferred: Utilization of AI prompts for test case generation and defect analysis.
