This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee Supplier Quality & Development processes and projects as an individual contributor.
• Supervise supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation, and the submission of nonconforming materials.
• Assist in the onboarding, qualification, and certification of suppliers.
• Manage source inspection and material release procedures.
• Conduct escape management, root cause analysis, problem solving, and propose corrective and preventive actions.
• Support RTX supplier initiatives, including Supplier Gold and RTX ZERO, to promote continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Offer expertise and recommendations for supplier qualification, certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and resolution of quality issues.
• Analyze quality data to develop part- and supplier-specific issue resolutions and corrective actions.
• Guide root cause analysis and problem solving utilizing Red-X and 8D methodologies.
• Identify systemic supplier challenges and formulate supplier-specific quality initiative strategies using PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans, and SPC.
• Oversee supplier qualification, source inspection, material release, Correction Action Boards, and DQ Clinics.
• Review processes and metrics for work transfer and process change management, including Resourcing Gate and PPAP acceptance per AS9145 and Collins processes.
• Travel up to 50% to supplier locations.
• Collaborate with IPT leaders, programs, assembly lines, suppliers, and other internal and external stakeholders to address quality issues and enhance supplier performance.
• University Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Over 8 years of professional experience that includes quality support in shop floor operations and experience in a supply chain operations environment, or equivalent.
• Strong background in electronics manufacturing, including Components, CCAs, PWBs, and harnesses.
• Knowledge and expertise in AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Familiarity with AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Understanding of NADCAP Electronics Manufacturing special process requirements.
• Knowledge of ANSI ESD S.20.20.
• Experience with QMS, auditing/assessing, risk management, continuous improvement/Lean Six Sigma, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement Systems Analysis creation and evaluation.
• Experience in evaluating suppliers’ manufacturing and supply chain process maturity and robustness.
• Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing performance through Key Performance Indicators.
• Experience in organizing supplier surveillance through audits, assessments, recovery plans, CID, and industrial risk management.
• Familiarity with managing Escape Events, NoEs, SRIs, FAIs, LAIs, and analysis and recovery plans for Deviations/Concessions.
• Experience in managing relationships with internal stakeholders, IPT leaders, Programs, and Assembly Lines.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% to supplier locations.
• U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
