This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in a large-scale agile software development initiative for the GrantSolutions contract.
• Verify application features, integrations, data flows, legacy touchpoints, and release packages throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, technical designs, data mappings, interface specifications, and release plans to establish test coverage.
• Create, implement, and uphold manual and automated test cases for features, integrations, workflows, reports, database modifications, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop and sustain automated test scripts, test suites, reusable test data, and regression assets across development, testing, staging, and release environments.
• Conduct end-to-end testing across application components, legacy functionalities, data exchanges, background jobs, workflows, reporting outputs, and role-based access paths.
• Facilitate integration and database testing by confirming data persistence, transformation logic, error handling, access behavior, and downstream processing.
• Record defects with reproducible steps, expected and actual results, evidence, severity, priority, environment details, screenshots, and logs.
• Collaborate with developers to replicate defects, analyze logs and test results, validate fixes, and assist in release readiness decisions.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support execution, results review, failure analysis, environment coordination, and test data maintenance.
• Aid in accessibility, security, performance, data quality, and operational readiness testing.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of quality practices, automation frameworks, defect management, traceability, release validation, and quality metrics.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; approved adjudication is required prior to onboarding.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, application testing, test automation, systems testing, or related SDLC positions.
• Practical experience in designing, executing, and documenting test cases for application features, integrations, database changes, workflows, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing.
• Practical experience in developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using automation tools, frameworks, scripting languages, or code-based testing methodologies.
• Experience in testing web-based applications, data integrations, interfaces, reports, background processes, and end-to-end business workflows across various environments.
• Familiarity with defect tracking, test management, requirements traceability, test evidence capture, test data preparation, release validation, and defect retesting.
• Understanding of SDLC, agile delivery, DevSecOps, version control, branching and merging, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
• Ability to interpret user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, interface specifications, data mappings, architecture guidance, and technical design documentation.
• Capability to troubleshoot test failures, isolate defects, analyze logs, query data, validate fixes, and communicate software quality risks.
• Strong documentation skills for test plans, test cases, test scripts, traceability matrices, defect records, test evidence, and release readiness summaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Product Owners, developers, integration engineers, data teams, DevSecOps engineers, vendors, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing testing priorities and release timelines.
• Candidates with an active Public Trust or suitability are preferred.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools is desirable.
• Experience with Jira, Subject 7, Confluence, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS, SQL/database validation, data integration, accessibility, security, performance, logging, monitoring, or observability tools is an advantage.
• Quality, agile, testing, automation, cloud, or security certification is preferred.
