This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Conduct hands-on testing for native iOS and Android mobile applications, with a focus on Flutter-based applications and user workflows on mobile devices.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts utilizing Java-based tools such as Selenium, JMeter, and JUnit.
• Execute automated tests that cover functional, integration, regression, and performance aspects.
• Collaborate with the Test Automation Architect to ensure alignment on frameworks, coding standards, maintainability, and priorities for phased automation.
• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and defect triage sessions.
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria to confirm that requirements are both testable and traceable to business outcomes.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test documentation, automation artifacts, execution results, and evidence of defects.
• Log defects in Jira, detailing reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, severity, impact, evidence, and linkage to stories/criteria.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing to uncover defects that may not be identified through scripted test cases.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and QA team members to validate fixes and assist in release decision-making.
• Participate in occasional rotational on-call responsibilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology (IT), or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
• Proven, hands-on experience in testing native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience in testing Dart/Flutter-based mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of widget-based cross-platform mobile application architectures.
• Background in building or significantly enhancing test automation frameworks.
• Experience in CI/CD-integrated environments.
• Proficiency with Java-based test automation tools, including Selenium, JMeter, and JUnit.
• Familiarity with Jira for Agile execution, defect tracking, test documentation, and traceability.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and sprint-oriented software development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in articulating defects, their severity, business impact, and technical findings.
• Ability to differentiate government supervisory contacts from the contractor management chain and adhere to federal contracting communication protocols.
• Experience in supporting federal government clients or mission-driven government IT programs.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to secure a Public Trust suitability determination.
• Active or prior CBP suitability is preferred.
• Familiarity with Apple App Store and Google Play Store release and validation processes is desirable.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced delivery environment with tight deadlines and high accountability.
• A proactive approach to bug detection and the ability to identify edge cases with comprehensive documentation of findings.
