Quality Assurance, Functional Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create, document, and uphold QA checklists, strategies, and procedures.

• Execute functional and regression testing in accordance with test plans and record outcomes.

• Report defects to the project team and update the bug tracking system.

• Confirm fixes.

• Assess end-products against screen mock-ups and business requirements.

• Conduct Section 508 accessibility compliance testing, document findings, and recommend improvements.

• Stay updated with industry standards and best practices, applying them accordingly.

• Engage in communication with managers, colleagues, clients, and government officials.

• Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional project team.

• Undertake additional testing responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must undergo and successfully complete a government agency background check.

• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements.

• Proficient in using accessibility techniques and tools, including screen readers like NVDA and JAWS, as well as ANDI.

• Trusted Tester certification is preferred.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and government representatives.

• Experience in testing content management systems such as Microsoft Azure, Sitecore, and AWS.

• 3–5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

• 3–5 years of experience in developing and executing software test plans and documenting outcomes.

• 3–5 years of experience interpreting technical/software specifications.

• 3–5 years of experience testing accessibility, Section 508, and WCAG requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
