Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Evaluate functional requirements and technical design documentation.

• Offer insights and pinpoint potential quality risks.

• Conduct testing on both backend and frontend functionalities, which includes business logic, APIs, service integrations, asynchronous processes, and applications built with React.

• Create and implement functional, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.

• Design and maintain automated tests utilizing Java or TypeScript with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

• Test integrations driven by messages using Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Confirm the accuracy of asynchronous workflows.

• Examine, document, and track defects until resolution.

• Collaborate closely with developers to uncover and address root causes.

• Analyze results from automated tests.

• Partner with the Automation QA team to enhance test coverage and reliability.

• Contribute to stable product launches and ongoing improvements in quality practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in software testing, encompassing backend functionality, APIs, business logic, integrations, and asynchronous flows.

• Proficiency in testing React-based web applications and comprehensive end-to-end user flows.

• Solid understanding of databases with hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries.

• Background in testing message-driven integrations with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers.

• Experience in test automation using Java or TypeScript, along with practical knowledge of Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

• Familiarity with AI tools to aid software testing efforts.

• Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

• Experience in performance testing or collaboration with Performance QA teams.

• Background in mentoring, onboarding, or facilitating the professional growth of QA engineers.

• Involvement in QA interviews or contributions to the hiring process.

• Experience applying AI throughout various stages of the software development and testing lifecycle.
