Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and sustain test plans, test cases, and related documentation.

• Conduct manual testing for web and mobile applications to verify functionality and user experience.

• Create and uphold automated test scripts utilizing contemporary testing frameworks.

• Identify, document, and monitor software defects until they are resolved.

• Execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and smoke testing.

• Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar applications.

• Work alongside developers to replicate issues and confirm bug resolutions.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release testing activities.

• Continuously enhance QA processes, automation coverage, and testing standards.

• Ensure software meets quality standards prior to production releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in the roles of QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or Quality Assurance Engineer.

• Comprehensive knowledge of manual software testing methodologies.

• Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or comparable frameworks.

• Strong grasp of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).

• Experience in testing RESTful APIs utilizing Postman or similar tools.

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.

• Proficient in using Jira, Azure DevOps, or other issue-tracking systems.

• Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Capability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with remote teams.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of Git and version control processes.

• Exposure to performance, load, or security testing.

• ISTQB Certification or an equivalent QA certification.

• Experience with SaaS or cloud-based applications.
