Quality Analyst, Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement thorough test plans and test cases.

• Evaluate test outcomes and communicate defects to appropriate stakeholders.

• Recognize, monitor, and document software issues, reporting them to the project team.

• Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure software aligns with business and technical requirements.

• Suggest enhancements to the testing process.

• Keep precise records of work hours in the time entry system.

• Continuously enhance skills related to the role and remain updated on industry trends and best practices.

• Exhibit inclusive behaviors and actively manage bias.

• Carry out additional duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the software development field, particularly in software testing.

• Strong grasp of software testing methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall models, as well as the software development life cycle.

• Extensive knowledge of test planning and execution.

• Practical experience in designing and executing test cases.

• Demonstrated ability to identify and report defects.

• Experience in collaborating with development teams to address issues and enhance software quality.

• Proficient in testing web applications, mobile applications, and emails.

• Familiarity with cross-browser applications, such as Sauce Labs, is an advantage.
