Qualified Supervisor – Electrical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Serve as the designated Qualified Supervisor for the company's NICEIC accreditation.

• Ensure that electrical installation tasks conform to the latest edition of the BS7671 Wiring Regulations.

• Conduct technical audits, site evaluations, and quality assurance assessments.

• Review and authorize electrical certifications and related documents.

• Offer technical assistance and guidance to electricians and apprentices.

• Aid in NICEIC assessments and compliance evaluations.

• Contribute to the development and execution of safe working systems.

• Investigate technical challenges, determine root causes, and apply corrective measures.

• Keep track of regulatory changes and ensure adherence by the company.

• Facilitate the training, mentoring, and professional growth of engineering personnel.

• Collaborate with clients, surveyors, and regulatory agencies.

• Assist in estimating and pricing electrical projects.

• Foster technical standards and promote growth in EV charging, renewable technologies, testing, and compliance services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a Qualified Supervisor or Senior Electrician.

• In-depth knowledge of BS7671 and electrical compliance regulations.

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing certification or its equivalent.

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.

• Completed an accredited electrical apprenticeship.

• Comprehensive understanding of NICEIC standards and auditing procedures.

• Capability to mentor and enhance the skills of engineering teams.

• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.

• Valid UK Driving Licence.

• Desirable: prior experience in care homes, educational institutions, or public sector contracts.

• Desirable: experience in managing remedial works and compliance initiatives.

• Desirable: familiarity with CAFM systems and digital certification platforms.

• Desirable: SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.

• Desirable: qualifications in EV Charging, Solar PV, or Renewable Energy.
