This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Possess a thorough understanding of Leeward's safety policies and procedures.
• Recognize safety hazards and exposures through site safety audits and collaboration with site technicians.
• Conduct safety compliance audits.
• Regularly engage with site technicians to comprehend daily operational challenges and concerns, and identify necessary improvement plans.
• Carry out quality assurance and quality control inspections on turbines and generate corresponding reports.
• Assess wind turbine performance and pinpoint issues.
• Collaborate with operations, data analytics, and engineering teams to enhance turbine performance.
• Evaluate solutions for technical issues related to wind turbines, focusing on reliability and performance enhancements.
• Oversee projects aimed at improving wind turbine performance.
• Analyze, synthesize, and convey findings consistently to the Leeward management team.
• Support the creation of turbine performance enhancement programs.
• Aid in establishing a formal quality assurance and quality control program.
• 3-5 years of relevant technical experience; experience in wind power generation is preferred.
• Associate’s Degree in Industrial Health (or a related field).
• 4 years of applicable work experience may be accepted as a substitute.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to both technicians and management.
• Capacity to stay focused and dependable in completing tasks and meeting deadlines with minimal oversight.
• Proven self-motivation in managing audits and inspections.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a complex and dynamic environment.
• Proven capability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver's license.
• Certification in turbine climbing and related safety protocols.
• Basic understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems and components of wind turbines.
• Fundamental knowledge of wind turbine operations.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams, and other standard specifications.
